During these retreats, young people are invited to encounter the living Christ through the Word of God, the Sacraments, and personal prayer. Spiritual counselling and guidance are also provided, helping the youth to overcome struggles and to discern God’s will in their lives. Teachings are centered on the Holy Eucharist, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and the call to live as witnesses of Christ in society.
The usual format of these retreats ranges from one-day youth gatherings to three or five-day programs, allowing ample time for teaching, worship, confession, adoration, and personal reflection. Many young people have found renewed strength, healing, and direction for their lives through these powerful encounters.
In addition, a five-day meditation retreat for young people is held at the Sehion Meditation Centre. Many young people from different countries participate in this service and are ignited in their faith. Youth meditations in Malayalam and English are also held at Sehion, helping young people deepen their relationship with Christ and grow in spiritual maturity.
For making use of the services of Sehion Youth Ministry outreach, parishes, institutions, or organizations are requested to book at least eight months in advance, with a consent letter or invitation from the authorised person. All local arrangements must be made in consultation with the Sehion outreach team, and the people of God are encouraged to prepare prayerfully for the retreat so that the Holy Spirit may work abundantly among the youth.
“How can young people keep their way pure? By guarding it according to your word.” (Psalm 119:9)
At Sehion Retreat Centre, youth are led closer to Jesus through specially designed retreats and spiritual gatherings. These programs aim to form young people in faith, guiding them to live in holiness, purity, and commitment to Christ in the midst of today’s challenges.
The Youth Ministry organizes retreats, conventions, and faith renewal programs in Sehion Retreat Centre. Headed by the priests of the Sehion Team, these retreats are conducted in parishes across different dioceses, schools, colleges, and campuses, with a special focus on the needs of young people.
