Sehion Ministries, known for its vibrant spiritual retreats at the Sehion Retreat Centre in Kerala, extends its blessings far and wide through its dynamic Outreach Ministry. This ministry focuses on bringing the powerful experience of spiritual retreats directly to parishes, youth groups, colleges, and communities beyond its base.
What is the Outreach Ministry?
The Outreach Ministry is an initiative by Sehion Ministries to conduct spiritual retreats and conventions outside the Sehion Retreat Centre, reaching a wider audience across different dioceses. It ensures that the grace and renewal offered at Sehion retreats are accessible to those who cannot travel to the headquarters.
Who Leads the Outreach Ministry?
The retreats are organized and led by priests from the Sehion team. These spiritual leaders guide participants through a journey of faith, focusing heavily on the importance of the Holy Sacraments and providing spiritual counseling throughout the retreat programs.
Retreat Programs and Structure
The Outreach Ministry primarily conducts three- or five-day retreat programs tailored to various groups such as:
- Youth groups
- Children’s groups
- College campuses
- Parish communities
Each retreat is carefully designed to deepen participants’ understanding of the Word of God and encourage a meaningful connection with their faith.
Preparation and Booking Process
To maintain quality and spiritual preparedness, Sehion Ministries requires that bookings for outreach retreats be made at least eight months in advance. This timeline helps the team prepare adequately and ensures the retreat upholds the high standards set by Sehion Ministries.
Impact of the Outreach Ministry
By conducting retreats in diverse locations, the Outreach Ministry fulfills Sehion’s evangelistic mission by:
- Reaching more faithful where they are
- Providing spiritual renewal and counseling
- Supporting pastoral activities across dioceses
- Building stronger faith communities
Conclusion
